Expanse
Through the Blue Portals
The Artwork
Sometimes a great science-fiction series can transport us to another time and space.

The Expanse is my artistic visualization of the streaming series. In the story, fans encounter a pulsing blue energy that absorbs solar radiation and fuels its growth. Eventually, we learn that it forms a vast blue canopy filled with portals to other universes. What awaits humanity beyond each portal remains a mystery.

My Expanse is a canvas of circular portals, each flowing with its own energy. It invites us to wonder: What might our lives look like if we had entered another portal—or chosen a different path?
Medium: Fiber: yarns, rope, fiber batt, wire, black frame
Dimensions: 20" x 27" x 4"
Year Completed: 2026
