Medusa, like the mythical creature, is an act of rebirth. In 2019, she was a face knotted from colorful strands that never quite felt complete. For years she waited in the quiet, unfinished yet insistent.  In 2025, the vision finally surfaced and Medusa emerged whole.

A wooden frame, decoupaged in the earth‑deep hues representing her cave and the sea. Her hand is reaching forward. She has deep green eyes and a wild crown of serpent‑like hair. The white knotted air around her glows with her radiant power, while a single green serpent winds along the top. Medusa stands as a guardian, a symbol of protection against lurking danger and restless spirits.

Stories of Inner Strength
Medusa is a symbol of strength. She was forced to face punishment for the unwanted acts of two mythical gods. Once feared as a monster, Medusa becomes a guardian—a protector at the threshold, warding off danger and the quiet cruelties we carry.  These are stories of my inner Medusa protecting my threshold, being my guardian and guide through difficult times, such as periods of harassment and anxiety.
