A visual meditation on a day spent amidst the roiling currents with lifelong friends - mothers who, three decades ago, first stepped into the shared boat of parenthood. This work traces the exhilarating spray of new beginnings and the steady, deep glides of our collective history. Through intricate coils and repurposed silk, it honors the women who have navigated every rapid by my side.

They say if you grip the paddle too tight, you lose the rhythm of the water. Thirty years ago, we were first-time mothers learning to navigate a different kind of rapid. Â
White Water memories that coil into fiber - the sharp intake of breath before the drop, and the collective surge of joy when you pop back up- paddle in hand after going under and getting drenched.  It is an exploration of trust: trusting the boat, the river, and the sisters in the seats beside you. In these knots, I have captured the spray of the falls and the enduring strength of a bond that refuses to be swept away. We are still in the same boat, and the current is beautiful.
